Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova used to be in good terms, but things may have changed after her recent doping scandal.
Federer. Zero tolerance against Sharapova
After winning his match against Fritz in Stuttgart, Federer was asked about his opinion on Sharapova’s doping case. Roger was extremely explicit “I didn’t get into all the details. But I am for zero tolerance … She, of course, has the right to defend herself, like anyone. Whether it’s intentional or not, I don’t see too much difference. You must be 100 percent about [sure] what you are taking, know its effects, and consequences. If that’s not the case, you must be sanctioned.”
