Novak Djokovic was about to make history for the wrong reason in Paris.
What happened?
The world n.1 was playing the quarters against Tomas Berdych, and he had a comfortable two sets up lead. After Nole had lost a point, he threw the racket, and he missed a lines judge literally of 1 foot. If he hit the man, Djokovic would have been automatically defaulted. Eventually, Djokovic won the match 6-3 7-5 6-3.
Apparently the original Djokovic racket toss tweet video was deleted, but some bootlegging recovered it. #RG16 pic.twitter.com/JVirYWICrw

Djokovic. I was lucky
Nole gave his version of the facts to say “I threw a racket on the ground, and it slipped and almost hit the line umpire. I was lucky there. That’s all.”
The nasty part is that the organization and the official media were quick to “cancel” the accident “from everywhere”.
The semi
Nole will now play the semifinal against Dominic Thiem. The head to head is 2-0 for Nole that defeated Dominic 6-3 6-4 on both occasions.
