The Chengdu Open marks an important stop in Musetti’s 2024 season, but it seems the pandas have given him a welcome distraction, providing a bit of joy and relaxation ahead of the competition.

Ranked world no.19, Lorenzo played his last match on the 23rd of September when he overcame world no.179 Alibek Kachmazov 6-4 6-2 in the semifinal in Chengdu (draw).
During this season Lorenzo achieved a composed 43-24 win-loss record. Lorenzo Musetti’s best performance of this year was getting to the final in the Cagliari Challenger, the Turin Challenger, London and Umag.
Lorenzo Musetti will face the world no.55 Juncheng Shang in the final on Tuesday at 7:00 pm on CENTER COURT. In the past, they have never competed against each other so far in top events.
