Before the 2024 Laver Cup, cameras caught Roger Federer hitting tennis balls at the Uber Arena in Berlin. The Uber Arena in Berlin will host this year’s Laver Cup, and the 20-time Major winner arrived in the German metropolis well in advance of the competition’s start.
Federer was also seen on camera having a quick-hitting session at the Uber Arena, with Patrick, John McEnroe’s brother, watching from courtside.
The former world No. 1 participated in four of the first five Laver Cup events and helped Team Europe win three consecutive championships in 2017 and 2019. Nevertheless, Team Europe lost the event to Team World in its final tournament appearance in 2022.
The Swiss legend is especially thrilled that Carlos Alcaraz, the current Wimbledon and French Open champion, will be competing in the team tennis contest this time around.
