Jack Draper hilariously tries to identify Sinner’s weakness in his game after SF loss

When Jack Draper was asked to identify a weakness in Sinner's game at the press conference after the game, he humorously struggled to come up with one.

Sinner And Draper Together

After Jannik Sinner defeated him in the 2024 US Open semifinals on Friday, September 6, Jack Draper found it difficult to identify a weakness in Sinner’s style of play. Draper’s best Grand Slam tournament performance to date was reaching the final four at Flushing Meadows.

Draper, who was seeded 25th at the New York Major, began his campaign when Zhang Zhizhen, his first opponent, retired from the match in the middle of it with a left leg injury, 6-3, 6-0, 4-0. Afterwards, in the second and third rounds, the British player triumphed over Facundo Díaz Acosta 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 and Botic van de Zandschulp 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.

Following a 6-3, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Tomas Machac in the fourth round, he defeated Alex de Minaur 6-3, 7-5, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. But top seed Jannik Sinner defeated Draper 7-5, 7-6(3), 6-2 in the semifinals of the US Open, ending his run.

When asked to pinpoint a weakness in Sinner’s game during the post-game press conference, Draper hilariously struggled to come up with one. In the end, he concluded that the world No. 1 has no real vulnerabilities.

He talked about it and said: “Sinner! What’s one weakness? He doesn’t. He doesn’t have many, mate. He does not. One, uh, don’t know; maybe he’s too nice. Maybe he’s too nice. He’s pretty good as well; I’ll tell you that for a fact.”
