Alcaraz Explains Why It Was Nice Playing Golf With Casper Ruud

Carlos Alcaraz recently shared his experience of playing golf with fellow tennis player Casper Ruud in New York. Alcaraz, a known fan of the sport, expressed how the golf game with Ruud had been a long time coming, as the two had often discussed playing together during previous tournaments.

Reflecting on the experience, Alcaraz humorously acknowledged Ruud’s superior golf skills, saying, “He’s another level in golf. He plays unbelievable.” The young Spaniard emphasized the mental benefits of golf, noting how it serves as a valuable tool for relaxation and mental clarity.

“We talked a lot about how good golf is for our minds to disconnect and turn off our minds,” Alcaraz explained. “Just to be better on court and at the tournaments. We can’t think 24/7 about tennis. You have to have your life as well. Just trying to do other things and trying to think about other things.”

Alcaraz highlighted the importance of finding balance in life outside of tennis, with golf playing a key role in helping him recharge. “To have 100% battery to be better on court and think clearly, golf helps a lot with that,” he concluded.

This thoughtful approach underscores the importance of mental well-being in professional sports, with Alcaraz using golf as a means to enhance his performance on the tennis court.
