Djokovic, Murray will not stay at the Olympic village in Rio

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are among the favorite during the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro; both have chosen not to stay at the Olympic Village for various reasons.

Djokovic. I need to focus

The world no.1 has recently expressed his will to spend some time with the other athletes during the run-up of the games, but eventually he conceded that he will have his “space and privacy and peace for practice” during the actual games. Djokovic didn’t manage to win any medal in London where he lost to Murray in the semifinal and to Del Potro in the match for the bronze medal. Djokovic has won the bronze medal back in 2008 in Beijing.

Murray. My job is to win a medal

Andy has won the gold medal at the last Olympic Games in London, and he confirms that he will stay in an apartment with the rest of the team “To be honest, when I stayed in the village in Beijing, I had a great time,” Murray commented. “But my tennis was pretty bad there. I did something different, obviously, during London, and that worked out well for me.” “My job there is to try to prepare as best I can and win a medal for my country,” Andy added. “I think the best way to do that is to sort of prepare like you do for other events, where you’re in your own space.”
