Nick Kyrgios falls in the semifinal in Estoril at the hands of clay court specialist Nicolas Almagro. The Australian wasn’t playing at his very best; after losing the opening set, he broke Almagro in the 6th game (4-2) to be broken soon after. The match ended after 73 minutes 6-3 7-5.

Nick acknowledged the good effort of his opponent “I thought he played better in the conditions today. I didn’t serve great, but he was too good. For a first week on the clay, it wasn’t too bad. I played two quality matches.”
The final vs. Carreno Busta
Almagro will play Carreno Busta in an all-Spanish final. Nicolas and Pablo have never played each other so far.
