We have a fascinating draw in Madrid. Federer and Nadal are poised to clash in the quarters, and this is the least favorite clay court for the Spaniard (so Roger has chances to beat his nemesis). In the same half, defending champion Andy Murray will probably clash against Roger or Rafa in the semifinals.

In the other part of the draw, “next-gen” Borna Coric and Nick Kyrgios should challenge the very best in the second round. Coric should face Djokovic; Kyrgios may play Wawrinka.

Probably the most exciting first round match is Thiem against Del Potro. The Argentine is not at his best, so Dominic should be the favorite.
