Emma Raducanu’s tennis routine has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks, but she has confirmed that she will play in a WTA 250 event following the US Open, which provides some insight into what she holds for the rest of the year.

To make her debut at the tournament, the 2021 US Open champion has committed to play in the October Hong Kong Tennis Open.

The main draw will feature Raducanu, the reigning champion Leylah Fernandez, and China’s silver medallist in the mixed doubles event at the Paris Olympics, Wang Xinyu, according to the organizers.

After the US Open, Raducanu is likely to concentrate on the Asian hard-court swing, as indicated by the WTA 250 event, which takes place from October 28 to November 3.

After the year’s final Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows, Raducanu may decide to participate in a few more events. The Hong Kong Tennis Open is one of ten Asian tournaments on the WTA Tour schedule.

Her choice to skip qualifying matches, such as the French Open, has drawn criticism, but former Olympic champion Monica Puig says it shouldn’t be disapproved of.

She may also be able to enter directly into some WTA 250 events, such as the Thailand Open, Japan Open, and Guangzhou Open, as their ranking cutoffs are typically far lower.
