Lorenzo Musetti is extremely optimistic in Cincinnati after great Olympic campaign

Lorenzo Musetti, who competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, is eager to return to his weekly grind in Cincinnati after an amazing summer.

Musetti Happy

After finishing an incredible summer with a run at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Lorenzo Musetti is just excited to get back to his weekly grind in Cincinnati.

After defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime to win bronze in the men’s singles competition, the Italian player became the first tennis player from his nation to win an Olympic medal in a century.

Instead of allowing that dream-come-true result to define him, Musetti says he’s ready to build on it at the Cincinnati Open, his first tournament back after some well-earned time off.

Musetti told the press after his first-round win in Cincinnati: “A medal is something that I, of course, won’t forget. But I don’t want to think about it for the rest of my career. I have to try to focus on each week, and each week is different.”

He added: “Of course, the results that I have achieved in the last couple of months are helping me to enter the court with more belief in myself, and more trust in what I do.”
