Carlos Moya, a former tennis star and Rafa Nadal’s coach, is excited that Mallorca will be the site of the first Brisk International Tournament from August 14–17. He is an ambassador for the high-end Brisk padel company. Moya says that when he was a professional tennis player, he sometimes played padel. Once he retired, he started to play more often. Now, he’s the ambassador for Brisk, which just held its first event in Kuwait. Spain will host its second tournament, this time in Ibiza.

The match will take place in Palma at the Pins Padel Club. One of the directors and owners of Pins Padel, Mateu Palmer, used to play professional tennis. He said that they chose Mallorca because the sport is popular there and it’s a great place for this kind of competition. During the four days of the competition, the club will be open to everyone, even though the 14 courts will be closed. The people who are putting on the event want as many people as possible to come and enjoy it.

Palmer revealed “The Brisk padel tournament will be a great promotion for Mallorca because approximately 100 international players have been invited, and many of them don’t know the island.

“There are two levels. In category A there will be players from the International Padel Federation, the World Padel Tour and they will be paired with top players from the Middle East and the rest of the world. That’s the philosophy, to mix European players with those from the GCC and beyond in both the male and female categories. Category B is open to players who don’t have International Padel Federation (IFP) points and the prizes are 7,500 euros, which is incredible for a tournament of this kind in Mallorca. It’s certainly the biggest prize for amateur padel players in Mallorca, if not the whole of Spain.”
