Zheng Qinwen made history by winning the Olympic tennis gold medal for China, and in a post-match interview, she expressed her relief and excitement over the achievement. Qinwen revealed that she intended to use this victory to reassure her father, who holds the Olympics in high regard above all other tournaments.
Reflecting on her mental fortitude throughout the Olympics, she discussed the challenging matches she faced, including coming back from being down in sets against her opponents. Qinwen also expressed her admiration for tennis legend Roger Federer and her aspiration to learn from him.

Now ranked no.7 (career-high), the Chinese played her last match on the 3rd of August when she overcame world no.21 Donna Vekic 6-2 6-3 in the final in Paris to win her 4th career title.
Currently, during this year the Chinese has managed to achieve an overall 32-12 match record. The Chinese clinched 2 titles in 2024 in Palermo and Paris. Zheng was the runner-up at the Australian Open.
She is also scheduled to play in Cincinnati (Western & Southern Open). The main draw will start on the 12th of August.
