Rumours raised over Djokovic’s new coach Nenad Zimonjic after his absence from Wimbledon

This year, after splitting from his longtime mentor Goran Ivanisevic, with whom he had trained for five years, Novak Djokovic partnered with Nenad Zimonjic.

Djokovic With His Coach

When it comes to injuries that prevent him from competing in major events like the French Open or the frequent turnover of individuals on his squad, Novak Djokovic appears to be going through a phase of inconsistency. Now, new rumours regarding his friend-turned-coach Nenad Zimonjic have added to the possibility of instability in Djokovic’s group.

Following his departure from longtime coach Goran Ivanisevic, with whom he had trained for five years, Djokovic teamed up with Zimonjic this year. However, questions concerning their continued relationship have been raised by the recent Wimbledon.

Zimonjic was not even present in Djokovic’s box for a single Wimbledon match. Many have speculated that this could mean the end of the two’s temporary partnership. Although there isn’t any official word about the split with Djokovic, his absence has raised some red flags.

Zimonjic’s identity as the Serb’s “former coach” has been called into question in several high-profile newspaper articles, raising questions about their working connection. Considering how much the Serb valued Zimonjic, it seems odd that he isn’t present. Zimonjic’s backing for the Serb persisted even in controversial topics despite his absence.
