Recently, Rafael Nadal explained that Carlos Alcaraz’s style of play was more adaptable on clay than that of his rivals. Toni Nadal, Rafael’s uncle, goes one step further and asserts that Carlitos is currently superior to Jannik Sinner on all surfaces.
Toni expressed his remarks about Alcaraz and said: “Alcaraz is better, he accomplishes more on the court than Sinner, and his tennis is more varied. I see Alcaraz with more opportunities to accomplish more in the future. Sinner has great mastery, although Alcaraz is slightly superior in terms of mental abilities. Both are equally strong on all surfaces as tennis has become much more homogeneous.”
At the Queen’s Club, where he was the reigning champion, Alcaraz was defeated early. This suggests that he will drop to second position in the global rankings and lose the trifling of 500 points. In addition, he will have played a few matches on the grass and will be under doubt, which might further hurt his rating.
Remember that the young Spaniard is also the All-England Club champion, so losing before the championship would cost him a lot of points.
