Safe and solid stuff for Roger Federer that dismisses Alexandr Dolgopov 6-3 7-5 6-1 in just 1 hour and 32 minutes. This is a very important win for the Swiss that has managed save some more energy for the 3rd round where he is expected to face Dimitrov.
Federer. The serve was key…
Roger was particularly effective with his serve to blast 25 aces and win 88% points behind his first serve (44 of 49). The Swiss commented “I think it’s a very important part of the game,” he said talking about the serve. “I think everybody should work on it, to be honest. It’s the only shot that we can actually really control. The rest we are reacting to. I thought today I did serve very well.”

… it was a very good win
The Roger shared his thoughts about Dolgopolov “He’s explosive; got a great return, especially on the second serve. He’s got all the shots. Just for him it’s managing how to use what at what time. I’m very pleased with this win. I think it’s a tough second round. In my opinion, he’s better than a lot of the guys who are ranked ahead of him.”
