Emma Raducanu opted not to play at the French Open and will instead play at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham in June.
The 2021 US Open champion Raducanu, who missed last year’s tournament due to wrist and ankle surgery, withdrew from the Roland Garros Grand Slam qualifiers this month to focus on getting ready for the grass-court season.
Raducanu has competed twice in Nottingham; the first time she lost to Harriet Dart before making her breakthrough at Wimbledon in 2021. The second time, she withdrew from her first-round match at Nottingham due to an injury she sustained.
Recently, Raducanu was seen advertising for the water brand ‘Evian in the latest commercial. She looked radiant while posing in the latest photographs and videos. She wrote on Instagram: “Off court and into the French Alps. Sort of, I had so much fun on the Mountain of Youth set with the whole @evianwater family.”

Ranked world no.212, Raducanu played her last match on the 24th of April when she surrendered to world no.83 Maria Lourdes Carle 6-2 6-2 in the 1st round in Madrid (draw).
At the moment, during this season Emma owns a composed 9-7 match record.
