Coco Gauff has announced that her parents will be present to cheer her on during the 2024 French Open campaign. The 20-year-old’s mother, Candi, has encouraged her during the claycourt swing in Europe, and her father, Corey, will travel with them to Roland Garros.
Her best singles result came in the Italian Open semifinals, where Gauff lost to Swiatek for the tenth time. Gauff has had a difficult claycourt season leading up to the French Open. With Erin Routliffe, she made it to the Rome final in doubles, where she did find some success.
Gauff took some time to express her gratitude to her team as she prepared for the French Open by taking a picture with her mother Candi, her coaches Brad Gilbert and Jean-Christophe Faurel, and the rest of her squad.
The American player also disclosed that her father, Corey, was headed to Paris to be with them. She posted with heart emojis: “Team. @coreygauff is otw.”

Currently the world no.3 (career-high), Coco played her last match on the 16th of May when she was overcome by world no.1 Iga Swiatek 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal in Rome (draw).
At present, during this year Coco owns a composed 25-8 match record. Coco has won 1 title in Auckland.
Coco Gauff will square off with the world no.188 Julia Avdeeva in the 1st round. They have never competed against each other until now in top tournaments.
