Rafael Nadal had a rather tough start of his official season. The world no.5 defeated Pablo Carreno Busta in 3 sets in his Doha Opener. Rafa didn’t manage to break Pablo in the first set to lose the opner at the tiebreak. Things got a bit more normal in the second and third set with Rafa winning the match 6-7 (5) 6-3 6-1 after 2 hours.
Nadal: I missed the chances in the first set
Rafa commented “I had chances in the beginning of the match, I couldn’t convert. I think I changed a little bit at the beginning of the second… I’m very happy the way that I managed to change the dynamic of the match, and I think I finished the match playing well.”
Match point: It was hard-fought but @RafaelNadal advances to the next round. #QatarOpen https://t.co/gI7zORHcXj

Next vs. Haase
Rafa will play Haase in the next round. Head to head is 1-0 for Rafa, but that was a huge struggle in Wimbledon (2010).
