Zverev With Trophy

Alexander Zverev is prepared to take on the major events that lie ahead as he wins his sixth Master 1000 title. He won his second Italian Open title after defeating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets with a commanding performance, particularly while serving. Zverev is currently focusing on the French Open, where he can defeat anybody with the right form. It appears that well-known figures like Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are also part of that group.

After winning in Rome in a post-match press conference, he was asked: “Considering the doubts about the other big names—Jannik, Carlos, Novak, and Rafa too—do you think Roland Garros can be a big chance for your career to win a slam?”

Zverev replied: “Look, I’ve said it many times before, and I’m going to say it again: I’m somebody who knows that when I don’t play well, I can lose to anyone, but when I play well, I know I can beat anyone. That’s my mindset. That’s how I think about it. I know I have to focus on myself to find my rhythm in Paris the way I did here. Then everything is on my racquet.”

He made it evident that everything depends on his mentality, saying that if he has a winning mindset, he can defeat anybody or even the best player in the world. With his sixth Master 1000 triumph, the 27-year-old sets a new career high and rises to fourth in the rankings.

With this success, Zverev is approaching his peak and demonstrating signs of recovery, which is positive ahead of the Roland Garros tournament. The German tennis player is yet more concerned with something other than the French Open.

He stated: “The focus is on Paris for sure, but let me enjoy this one for a few days first. Rome is a very special place for me. It’s a very, very special week.”
