Azarenka trashes Radwanska in straight sets – 2012 WTA Indian Wells Video Interview

It was definately the most interesting match of the day at least because of the huge controversy between the 2 players after their previous match in Doha where Radwanska accused Azarenka of drammatising an injury. See article here.

The nice thing of tennis is that words can be replaced by actual facts and this was the time for both players to prove something. And it was definately Victoria the one to have the last say.

Azarenka had a remarkable win and this time it was a no contest.

‘I was really impressed with the way I played today,’ said Azarenka. ‘I didn’t expect to win that way. I’m proud how I fought hard and played winning tennis.I had very good motivation because I knew she’s an excellent player, so I had to come up with a great match today.’I was just really focused on every moment, on every point I played, on every ball I was striking. I didn’t really think about the score,’

From Radwanska side, ‘She played very well today, just way too good. She was hitting really well with pretty much no mistakes and making the winners from those shots I didn’t really expect.

‘I had some chances, but when you’re not really taking those chances against good players, then you’re going down. It was just her day.’

Azarenka brings her 2012 record to a whopping 21-0 victories and she leads Radwanska 9-3 (head to head).

Radwanska may also be happy (in a way) since she now reached the 4th place in the WTA ranking.

We have the impression these two are going to play each other a lot more! And we look forward to it!
