Nick Kyrgios believes that tennis’ “poor marketing” are to blame for the almost empty stands during Jannik Sinner’s Miami Masters match against Tallon Griekspoor.
In the Miami third round on Sunday, No. 2 seed Sinner defeated 25th-seeded Griekspoor 5-7 7-5 6-1. The 22-year-old Italian entered Miami as one of the heavy favorites to win. However, one fan couldn’t help but observe that most of the seats were empty as Sinner’s match against Griekspoor got underway at the Stadium.
On Twitter, Nick commented: “Unfortunately, tennis hasn’t been marketed or been done the right way.”
