From her Windsor residence, the Princess of Wales, Catherine, revealed in a heartfelt video that she has been diagnosed with cancer.
The future Queen had a successful abdominal surgery on January 16; no testing revealed cancer at the time. It is believed that Kate began prophylactic chemotherapy in late February, but post-operative tests later confirmed that she had cancer.
Following her announcement of her cancer diagnosis, Princess Kate received a heartfelt message from the All England Club. The All-England Club has Princess Kate as its royal patron, and she also presents the Wimbledon winners’ trophies.
The Wimbledon club wrote on social media: “The thoughts of everyone at the All England Club are with our patron, HRH The Princess of Wales, HRH The Prince of Wales and their families at this time. We wish the Princess of Wales the very best as she takes the time she needs to make a full recovery.”
