Jannik Sinner: “I have an amazing dad”

Jannik Sinner recently spoke kind words for his father after winning in the Indian Wells quarterfinals. Sinner has had incredible form and gameplay this season.

After his victory in the Indian Wells quarterfinals, Jannik Sinner recently said some beautiful words for his father.

Throughout this season, Sinner’s gameplay and form have been amazing. By defeating Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday, the Italian player rose to a 17-0 win/loss record and advanced to the Indian Wells semifinals.

Sinner was asked a crucial question during his post-match on-court interview: did his father, who had gone to California to encourage him, dedicate himself solely to his work as a chef in his early years, or did he also play a role in forming his game?

Sinner replied that because of the demanding schedule of the ATP Tour, he doesn’t get to visit his family very frequently; therefore, it was great to have his father in Indian Wells.

Sinner expressed his remarks about his father and said: “I don’t want to give him too much credit. As I said, it’s just special for me to have him here. I didn’t have much time to spend with him in the last few years. Also with my family. Every moment I have with him is nice. He’s an incredible chef, but also an amazing dad. That for me, is much more important.”
