Davis Cup. Murray starts his preparation

Andy Murray is 100% committed to win a historical Davis Cup for his country.

The world no.2 will be expected once gain to win both singles and the doubles, so his preparation needs to be spot on, but there is a huge hurdle: the surface.

Belgium chose to play the final on clay because it is Murray’s least favorite surface and also because the Scot will play the Davis Cup finale soon after a hectic week in London (WTF) on hard courts.

Murray to test his movements

Andy commented “I may do some movement work on the clay towards the end of this week. I don’t think I’m going to hit too many balls on the clay this week, if any at all, but I might get on the courts and just get used to the sliding and movement. If the weather’s OK, I can do that at Wimbledon or the National Tennis Centre [at Roehampton].”

Andy declared to be ready to skip the World Tour Finals to be ready for the Davis Cup. (see article)
