Kyrgios: Shanghai is a circus

Nick Kyrgios wasn’t the happiest guy on the planet to play the opener in Shanghai. The Australian sensation dispatched Andreas Haider-Maurer 6-3 6-2, but he wasn’t satisfied with the organization.

Kyrgios: It felt like a lower level event

Nick commented “It was tough. There was a lot of stuff going on out there today. It almost felt like I was playing a lower level event. It was a bit crazy. The cameraman was talking in the middle of the point. It just wasn’t as professional as I thought it would be out there. I didn’t think it was fair for any of us. I was just expecting a lot more from a Masters event.”

I wasn’t unhappy [with the ball boys]. I guess they’re just amateur ball kids. They’ve just been picked. You can’t be too hard on them.”

Nick will play Nishikori in the 2nd round.

The Australian didn’t make more friends in China with this remarks… That’s for sure.
