Djokovic meets Serbian NBA champion Nikola Jokic and two hug each other

When three well-known athletes of Slavic descent shared a frame, Serbian fans surely felt a sense of pride in their country. The NBA community is well aware of Jokic and Djokovic's bond.

Recently, the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers squared off. LeBron James’ achievement of scoring 40,000 points was the night’s high point, but the Nuggets did not let that historic milestone deter them from their play. The squad managed to keep their spot on the points table by defeating their opponents 124–114, with Nikola Jokić leading the charge. Jokic scored an astounding 35 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and threw out 7 assists.

The Joker stopped by to say hello to an old friend after the game. Viewers caught a glimpse of Jokic approaching the courtside seats to hug and say welcome to Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic on social media. Jokic also gave Vlade Divac, a former player for the Lakers, a hug.

Fans of Serbia undoubtedly experienced a sense of pride in their country when they witnessed three well-known athletes of Slavic descent sharing a frame. It’s no secret among NBA fans that Jokic and Djokovic are friends.
