Daniil Medvedev expressed disappointment in his semi-final loss to Ugo Humbert at the Dubai Tennis Championships, attributing his performance to a lack of preparation due to injury and limited serving practice.
He noted the importance of having the energy of a tournament winner, both physically and mentally, and plans to make changes to achieve this in upcoming tournaments. Medvedev, who typically takes a match-by-match approach, may set goals for the rest of the season. He reflected on past matches where he displayed mental fortitude and ended the press conference with a brief statement.
