Novak Djokovic’s next tournament is scheduled to take place at Indian Wells at the BNP Paribas Open. The ATP Masters 1000 competition will take place in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from March 6–17.

Djokovic hasn’t participated in the BNP Paribas Open since 2019. The Serbian has previously won the event five times: in 2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2016. His three previous visits to Indian Wells have not been as successful, though; in 2017, he lost to Nick Kyrgios in the round of 16, in 2018, he lost to Taro Daniel in the opening round, and in 2019, Philipp Kohlscreiber defeated him in the round of 32.

As a result of the move, Djokovic will also miss the Dubai Tennis Tournament in February, an ATP 500 event that he has won five times in the past and has always included in his calendar. The current Indian Wells champion, Carlos Alcaraz, is back to defend his title.
