Bouchard retires from the US Open

This is not Genie Bouchard’s year… at all.

The Canadian Beauty had a horrible run after reaching the quarters in Melbourne and finally she found her tennis and some results at the US Open. Genie had to play the 4th round in New York, but unfortunately she had to succumb to a freak accident in the locker room that caused a head injury.

Genie immediately withdrew from doubles, but now unfortunately she has to retire also from singles.

The Canadian is suffering from dizziness and aversion to light/noise… so no way…

What happened?

According to reports Genie was coming back from a press conference soon after winning the first round in mixed doubles with Kyrgios. Back in the locker room she was struggling at finding the light, but eventually she slipped (there was some water on the floor) to fall backward and hit her head. The Canadian went straight to the emergency room. After being released the quit from doubles, but unfortunately the day after she couldn’t compete because of the symptoms.

With Genie retiring Roberta Vinci had a free pass to the quarters.

Good luck Genie.

UNLUCKY…

LIFE WAS MUCH BETTER BEFORE THE INJURY
