Alcaraz And Djokovic Together

At the Australian Open, Carlos Alcaraz claims he wants to play and defeat Novak Djokovic instead of avoiding him. Alcaraz claims he is more motivated to play Djokovic in the championship match because the Serb is incredible at the Australian Open.

During his pre-tournament news conference, Alcaraz was asked about his prospects of facing Djokovic on the court, which he has become familiar with over the years. Alcaraz declared that the acknowledgement simply served as fuel for his desire to challenge the top player in the world and determine his level of play.

Alcaraz states that he hopes to make it to the Melbourne final and soon has the chance to prove himself against the 24-time Grand Slam champion.

Alcaraz said: “Yeah, I mean, it’s an extra motivation for me. I’m an ambitious guy. I always want to play against the best players in the world to see what my level is. It’s a good test, playing against him in the places or the tournament where he’s almost unbeaten.”

He added: “Yeah, I’m looking forward to reaching the final and hopefully playing a final against him. It would be great. But, yeah, knowing those stats, it’s an extra motivation, for sure.”
