Another day, another great match for Roger Federer.
The Swiss Legend has reached his 7th Cincinnati final without losing a single set on the way. Roger has played great tennis against Murray to win 6-4 7-6 (6) in 97 minutes. Once again Roger hasn’t conceded a single break point to grab Murray’s serve in the 3rd game of the opener (2-1). That was enough to give the Maestro the first set (6-4). The Maestro has a perfect 6-0 when he played the finals in Cincinnati and he is going for his 87th record.

Roger is excited to win another major tournament “It would be great to win another Masters 1000, especially here in Cincinnati.
Going for my seventh here is just great. It’s wonderful to be another finalist because coming here now I’m perfectly prepared for the final. I’ve been practicing and away from the game since Wimbledon. It’s not that long, but in tennis terms one month is a long time. I’ll give it all I have tomorrow. It’s going to be tough. Couldn’t ask for a tougher opponent than Novak. Hopefully I can take advantage of the fact that I’m fresh and ready to go.”
Murray: It’s good to recover now
Andy is coming from an interesting stint in North America. The Scott has just won I Montreal and had rough ride to the Cincy semifinal, so he really need to recover before the US Open I feel okay. I’ve done well to recover from some tough matches. It’s good. The positive about losing today is I get the opportunity to have an extra days’ rest and recovery. I need that.”
The final vs. Djokovic
Roger will play Novak Djokovic in the final. Head to head is 20-all. Djokovic has won the last 3 matches, but ole had a very tough ride to the final and he is not playing at his best. Roger may have an edge this time.
