Carlos Alcaraz explains what he wants to achieve next year

With his defeat in the first round of the ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz offered an explanation for his current problems and aspires to make a great comeback.

Carlos Alcaraz Hopes To Rise Again

After losing his opening match at the ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz has given an explanation for his current problems. On Monday, Alexander Zverev defeated the world No. 2 seed, which was his third straight loss. Alcaraz blamed mental fatigue in a frank evaluation of his recent form of decline.

As Zverev overcame a set deficit to defeat the ATP Finals debutant 6-7(3) 6-3 6-4 on Monday, Alcaraz suffered yet another defeat. This was his first losing run of three matches since March 2021, and it followed an unexpected first-round loss in Paris-Bercy and a round-of-16 exit at the Shanghai Masters.

Alcaraz stated his remarks in the post-match interview and said: “The truth is that I had been training quite well, with good feelings. I’m learning to handle it better and better. In the end, I am 20 years old, although I also consider myself a player with some experience from everything I have experienced. I still have a lot left, obviously, but I’m getting better at it every time. As I said, at least I am clear about what is happening to me and what I have to improve, and from there I will have to get to work and improve it.”
