Players who participated in the wrong-handed serve challenge at the Rolex Shanghai Masters last week were Ben Shelton, Andrey Rublev, and Hubert Hurkacz.
On Sunday, October 15, the ATP 1000 tournament in Shanghai came to an end. Hurkacz emerged victorious in the final match after defeating Rublev. During the occasion, a number of top players participated in the entertaining serving challenge.
It was an easy task: players had to use their non-dominant hand to serve as quickly as possible. This required certain players, including Shelton and Ugo Humbert, to serve with their right hand. Many had to, yet, adjust to their left hand; American player J. J. Wolf said he didn’t believe he had ever struck a left-handed serve before.
Funny moments from the video included Shelton trying to serve with his right hand and laughing while doing so.
😭 When the pros try to serve with wrong hand. Terrific.
