Martina Hingis has definitely built a strong Indian connection. The Swiss Legend has just won the women’s doubles with Sania Mirza and now she wins also the mixed doubles with Indian Legend Leander Paes.
In the final Martina and Leander destroyed Peya and Babos 6-1 6-1 in just 40 minutes.

The Swiss commented “Well, I think that was the best we played pretty much since Australia in all the matches. I think it’s pretty exciting to come out like this in the finals of a Grand Slam.
Beating Bryan and Mattek was definitely a huge win that day. It was my second match in that day. I’m grateful to have had Leander on my side to pull me through that one. And today I had a great night after last night, so a good night’s sleep, and I was ready to go all the way in another final today.”
After this win, Martina has 18 slams, 5 singles, 10 doubles and 3 mixed doubles. Paes has now 17 slams, 8 doubles and 9 mixed doubles.
