Rain forced the ATP Masters 1000 doubles match between Ben Shelton and Hubert Hurkacz versus Cameron Norrie and Rinky Hijikata to be called off, and the young American tennis player displayed a pure heart. Shelton brought a little ball girl under his umbrella while the rain held off so she wouldn’t get wet.
At the ATP Masters 1000 competition, Shelton and Hubert Hurkacz have teamed up for the men’s doubles event. In the first round, the pair faced off against Rinky Hijikata and Cameron Norrie to begin their campaign.
Shelton and Hurkacz made a good impression early on in the match, converting on a vital break point to win the opening set 5-4. The play was halted by rain before they could try to serve the set-out.
Ben Shelton was gracious enough to allow her to sit next to him, sharing the shelter, after noticing that the ball kids themselves had no shelter from the rain. The stadium’s spectators cheered passionately in response to the American’s kind act.

Ben Shelton will face the world no.4 Jannik Sinner in the 4th round on Tuesday at 6:30 pm on STADIUM COURT. In the past, they have never competed against each other till now in top tournaments.
He is also scheduled to play in Vienna (Erste Bank Open) on the 23rd of October and Paris (Rolex Paris Masters) on the 30th of October.
