FUNNY. Coco Gauff reveals why her brother didn’t answer the phone after she won the US Open

Coco Gauff reveals that her brother didn't pick up her call right after her US Open win, and she had to rush to the trophy ceremony.

Coco Gauff About Her Brother Not Answering

When Coco Gauff won the US Open, she wanted to speak with her brother Codey, who wasn’t in her player box. The only issue was that when she sent a call on FaceTime, no one responded, and by the time someone did, she had to go to attend the most important trophy ceremony of her life.

Gauff revealed this at the post-match conference: “He did answer right before the ceremony started. I didn’t know we were supposed to go up together so I was just going to wait until they started talking. Then Stacey Allaster was, like,’ You’ve got to go.’ I told him I had to leave.”

After that, Gauff shared a live video of his brother’s reaction as he was screaming in joy for her success at the US Open. Gauff posted on Twitter: “No wonder my brother didn’t answer the phone. Legend says he’s still screaming to this day.”
