At the 2023 US Open on Saturday, Coco Gauff won her first Grand Slam surrounded by the home fans at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Coco Gauff made a reference to her boyfriend while speaking to the media after her victory over Aryna Sabalenka. She said: “Last night, I started a little bit, but honestly, I just called my boyfriend, and I told him to let’s talk until it’s time to go to sleep so we spoke until 1:00 a.m. and then I went to sleep.”
Her fans went crazy over her comments on social media. According to a fan on Twitter, Gauff was “softly launching” her boyfriend, during the press conference. One of the fans tweeted: “Not her soft launching during the press conference.”
Another follower questioned whether her boyfriend might be Carlos Alcaraz and wrote: “Can you imagine if she decides to go public with her bf……… and we find out it’s Carlos Alcaraz.”
