Stefanos Tsitsipas just suffered yet another early exit at Flushing Meadows when Swiss qualifier Dominic Stricker upset the seventh seed in the US Open second round in a thrilling five-set match. Tsitsipas acknowledged that his recent form was simply “not good enough” as his dismal run continued. Tsitsipas failed to serve-out the match in the 4th set when leading 5-3.
Although Tsitsipas has played in six main draw matches at the New York Open, he has never advanced past the third round. He won at Los Cabos earlier this month, but just before the US Open, his performance dropped. He was eliminated early from Toronto and Cincinnati.
Tsitsipas expressed his thoughts after the match and said: “I won’t blame it on anything. It’s just poor performance after Los Cabos. I consider myself a good player, and I don’t want to be a person that can be beaten easily or I’m giving my opponents an easy time on the court against me. I try to make it as hard as I can, and if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. I move on with my life.”

Currently, during this season Stefanos has achieved a composed 41-16 record. Tsitsipas conquered 1 title in Los Cabos. The Greek got to the final at the Australian Open and Barcelona.
