Emma Raducanu, who is still away from the tour, paid a quiet tribute to Rafael Nadal while entertaining fans with a piano play.
Raducanu last participated in a tour event at the Stuttgart Open in April. She was forced to miss the French Open and Wimbledon Championships due to ankle and wrist surgery.
Recently, Raducanu posted a video of herself playing the piano while sporting Rafael Nadal’s iconic “Raging Bull” logos on social media on Tuesday, August 22. The 20-year-old also shared a funny blooper video showing her piano lesson getting humorously interrupted, which made her start laughing.
When questioned about her clothing choice, she responded that she was wearing the logo in order to embody Nadal’s determination since she was having a difficult year.
She further elaborated on the reason behind wearing Rafa’s logo shirt: “Rafa just embodies fight. That sort of energy, that’s what I’m bringing in terms of energy. I think I’ve had a tough year like it’s no secret. It is all worth it just to go out on Centre Court and get a win like that.”
