After a disappointing tournament in Toronto, Carlos Alcaraz will begin the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. However, Carlitos lost to Tommy Paul in Canada for the second year in a row. When the competition was held in Montreal in 2022, the American defeated Alcaraz on his debut.
In the Canadian competition, the Spanish tennis player also displayed a great deal of nervousness, perhaps as a result of his frustration at not being able to compete at the same levels.
Alcaraz made an effort to explain this unexpected collapse to understand its causes and said: “It wasn’t a good week, I felt comfortable in none of the games, even if I had better and worse moments in the game, but in general I didn’t ‘it was a match in which I felt good. The balls probably influenced us a bit, but we are tennis players and we have to adapt to what comes. But yes, it’s complicated to play with a different ball every week.”
