After her match against Petra Martic, Aryna Sabalenka was asked to hit the Canadian Open mascot with tennis balls on the court. This led to a humorous interaction with the event’s social media account.
She was told to do something before leaving the court which led to a humorous Twitter thread. While the tournament mascot did its best to avoid being attacked, the event’s administrators asked Aryna Sabalenka to strike it.
The mascot appeared to be having fun with the exercise as it attempted to avoid Sabalenka’s strong blows. Aryna reacted to the tweet posted on the OBN account and wrote: “They want me to hit this beautiful and friendly mascot, sorry, I hit him with a lot of love.”
