Alexander Zverev met Carlos Alcaraz on a golf course and jokingly warned other tennis players that they “had a chance against him at golf.”
Zverev himself has suffered some terrible defeats at the hands of Alcaraz, who twice completely devastated him. Alcaraz defeated Zverev in the Madrid championship match, 6-3, 6-1, a year ago. Alcaraz acknowledged he was somewhat surprised by how easily he overcame Zverev this year in Madrid after doing so.
Alcaraz who is 20-year-old is off to an incredible start to his career with two Grand Slam and five Masters titles under his name. Zverev captioned his Instagram Story: “I have good news everyone. We have a chance against him in golf.”
Alcaraz stated these remarks after that match: “Well, obviously Sascha, it wasn’t his best match, but, well, I didn’t expect that win.”
Nevertheless, Zverev has a 3-2 advantage in their head-to-head meetings after taking down Alcaraz twice in 2021 and once at the French Open the previous year.
