Happy Nadal reaches the Indian Wells quarters

Rafael
Nadal
is finally happy with his performance in Indian Wells.

The Spaniard has won the first 2 matches
without many problems, but he was unhappy with his tennis. Rafa was
particularly concerned for his inability to properly cope with the “flying
balls” in Indian Wells.

In the 4th round against Gilles
Simon
it was a different story with Rafa. The world no.3 dispatched Simon
in just 78 minutes with a comfortable 6-2 6-4.

Nadal: I played a solid match

Rafa commented “Today I think I played a
solid match against a tough opponent like Simon that is not easy to play
tactically. Tactically I think I played a very positive match. In general,
I played solid. Only two bad games with my serve, I played bad.”

The quarters vs. Raonic

Rafa will play Milos
Raonic
in the quarters. Head to head is 5-0
for Rafa
, but Milos may have a chance with this “fast conditions”.

Rafa knows that Milos is a real threat “He’s
an opponent that you don’t want to play against because you play under a lot of
pressure, every point,” Nadal said of his next opponent. “What
happened today with my serve twice cannot happen the next day if I want to have
any chance… So it will be a very tough match. I know I need to be at my
100 per cent to have any chance.”
