Boris Becker talked about a hypothetical Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic

Boris Becker discussed the challenge for Carlos Alcaraz in the 2023 Wimbledon Championships final, as if he faces Novak Djokovic.

Carlos Alcaraz And Novak Djokovic

Boris Becker has discussed the challenging job that Carlos Alcaraz has if he faces Novak Djokovic in the 2023 Wimbledon Championships final.

Alcaraz and Djokovic’s highly anticipated matchup looms on the horizon as both players get closer to the grasscourt Grand final. The four-time defending champion Djokovic advanced to the semifinals by defeating Andrey Rublev 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3. On Friday, July 14, the Serb will face Jannik Sinner in a replay of their quarterfinal encounter from the previous year. On the other side, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Holger Rune 7-63 6-4 6-4 to challenge Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal.

In a social media Q&A, Boris Becker was questioned about the likelihood that Alcaraz would overcome Djokovic. While the Spaniard could beat any opponent, the German tennis star retorted, beating Djokovic in the Wimbledon final would be his biggest test to date.

Becker commented: “Alcaraz could beat anybody at any time but beating Djokovic in the Wimbledon final will be his toughest match.”

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz clashed recently in the French Open semifinal. However, the Spanish sensation had to surrender to cramps caused by tension. That may or may not happen again in a hypothetical Wimbledon final between Cartlitos and Novak.
