WIMBLEDON. Weird Carlos Alcaraz calls Daniil Medvedev an “Octopus” following Rublev’s remarks

Carlos Alcaraz head rather hilarious press conference after defeating Holger Rune at Wimbledon.

Alcaraz About Medvedev Being An Octopus

Fans will be treated to two exciting semi-final matches as the Wimbledon Championships draw to a close. When Carlos Alcaraz squares off against Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic squares off against Jannik Sinner. Both of these games are expected to be high-caliber contests and promise to provide top-notch entertainment. Apart from Jannik Sinner, who is ranked eighth in the world, all three of the top-seeded players will compete in the semi-finals. Tomorrow is the scheduled day for both games.

Last year, Alcaraz and Medvedev had already squared off against each other at Wimbledon, with Medvedev winning that match in straight sets. However, one must keep in mind that Alcaraz was only a teenager and a beginner at grass at the time. Nonetheless, he has now won 11 ATP titles and is a major winner.

Because of his extraordinary court coverage, Medvedev has gained the moniker “The Octopus” from other ATP players like Andrey Rublev. Although he only uses two hands to play, his distinctive playing style and court coverage give the impression that he is using eight hands because of his ability to catch impossible balls.

During his last press conference, Carlitos commented: “He’s really complete player. I’m gonna say you know, Rublev said a few times. He’s an octopus. You know, he tracks every ball. It is amazing. You know, he’s an amazing athlete.”
