Belinda Bencic and Karolina Pliskova will fight in the quarters in Indian Wells Thursday at 11 am.
Bencic
Ranked no.23, Belinda is having a sensational run in the last few weeks after she won Dubai and she reached the quarters in Indian Wells after beating huge names such as Aryna Sabalenka, Elina Svitolina, Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, and Naomi Osaka. Belinda impressed against the world no.1 after she conceded to the Japanese just 4 games after winning 6-3 6-1. Bencic has now a remarkable 15-3 win-loss record in 2019
Pliskova
Karolina is also having an interesting season. Ranked no.5, she has a 15-2 win-loss record after she won the tournament in Brisbane, she reached the semifinal in Melbourne, the quarters in Dubai and she is now also in the quarters in Indian Wells. The Czech doesn’t seem to be at her very best in the desert, but of course she remains one of the top favorites to win the tournament.
Head to Head Belinda Bencic vs. Karolina Pliskova
There is no head to head record between Belinda and Karolina since they have never played each other so far. Even if Pliskova has a better rank, the favorite may be Bencic.
