Petra Kvitova surprises the tennis community for a sudden (and weird) reason. The world no. 4 raised some questions after retiring from Indian Wells citing “exhaustion”. The strange part of it is that she has competed in just 4 matches (WTA tour) in February and the last time she played it was the 26th of February, so something else is there.
Petra: I’ll take some time out
Kvitova stated “I am extremely disappointed to have to withdraw from the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, one of my favorite tournaments on the calendar. Unfortunately I have been feeling exhausted on the court in recent weeks and unable to compete at 100 percent. I will therefore be taking some time out in order to rest and restore my energy levels for the rest of the season.”
Obviously we now wonder if she will ever play also in Miami soon after.
