Easy stuff for Sacha Zverev in his opening match in Indian Wells as he reaches the 3rd round after his opponent Martin Klizan withdraws in the second set.
The match
Sascha was never really in trouble against Klizan especially after he won 5 consecutive games to reverse a 0-1 deficit in a 5-1 lead. Then Sacha was broken in the 8th game (5-3), but that was the end of it as the German conquered the following 3 games and Martin withdrew when he was 3-6 0-2 down. Sascha spent just 58 minutes on court.
Next vs. Struff. Head to head and stats
Sascha will play fellow German and good friend Jan-Lennard Struff for a place in the 4th round. The head to head is 4-0 for Zverev. It’s interesting to notice that they have only played on clay courts so far.
