Amanda Anisimova and Aleksandra Krunic will face off in the 1st round in Indian Wells on Wednesday as the second match in Stadium 1. They are expected to play at 1 pm.
Anisimova
Currently ranked no. 67, the 17-year-old accessed the main draw thanks to a wildcard. Amanda had an excellent start of the season after she reached the quarters in Auckland and the 4th round in Melbourne where she defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6-3 6-2 in the 3rd round before losing to Petra Kvitova.
The American teenager had a fantastic run last year in Indian Wells where at only 16 years of age she reached the 4th round after beating Petra Kvitova in the 3rd round 6-2 6-4.
Krunic
Ranked no.57, Aleksandra is not having a great 2019. She lost in the 1st round of the qualifications in Brisbane and Sydney and she crashed out in the 2nd round in Melbourne and Budapest.
